Corporate Reflexology

Well-being in the workplace
Whatever the size of your business, it makes sense to look after your biggest asset - your employees.  Work place stress is a big concern for employees in the UK and worldwide. In 2015/16 stress accounted for 448,000 cases of work related illnesses, which resulted in 45% of all working days lost due to ill health being answerable to stress.   Also, 42% have considered resigning due to workplace stress.  This means there could be people living and working with stress in your business today. Stress affects productivity through both absenteeism and presenteeism which in turn affects profit margins.
If you could supply your workforce with a method of keeping on top of their stress levels, would you implement it? If this method of helping stress levels also made them healthier, happier, more balanced and with improved well-being, would you give it room in your business?
How can a well-being service help your company?
The answer could be to have an onsite reflexologist visit your company regularly, Each company chooses its own level of involvement. In some businesses, each employee is responsible for the cost of their own treatments. other companies choose to subsidise or pay for the treatments for their staff.  Whatever works for your company.

Treatments are carried out in-house and the practitioner brings a special chair for the client to sit in.  Treatments can take between 20 and 60 minutes.   Of course, you will want to know if having a reflexologist on-site makes a difference to sickness and absenteeism.  A number of firms across Europe and the UK are now offering reflexology to their staff with amazing results. The following are some case study examples of successes within the work environment.

Study A
In a small study in Denmark at a town council, it was found that in the six months of employing a reflexologist the sickness and absence level dropped on average by three days per person compared to the two prior periods of 6 months, from an average of 9 days to 5.2 days. At the same time they also reported increased satisfaction in their jobs, increased well-being and increased work effort.

Study B
SAS Cargo estimated a financial saving of £2,000 a month when employees were receiving reflexology.

Study C
Fonss and Hove, solicitors in Kolding, found that employees receiving treatment showed greater motivation and enhanced working ability. After a four year programme the need for treatments decreased because of minimal sickness and absenteeism.

There are many methods that can be used to measure change, some more complicated than others. Together with the Association of Reflexologists, we can work with you to set up evaluation methods.

"Not only is the treatment relaxing and enjoyable, but I've found my health has been good too, with many colds in the office passing me by"

"I have enjoyed regular reflexology treatments at my place of work for a few years now and have noticed a great improvement in my stress levels. The time spent away from my desk during the working day is very beneficial and I seem to have more energy after each treatment."
